Aerith - For my Whole Life by ~ChibiKyuu:iconChibiKyuu:

For my whole life I have thought of this moment.
When it would come, how it would happen.
It is my fate, so inevitable and inescapable.
I’ve always known it would come.
I’ve always be prepared.
But I never realized how much it would hurt him.

He can be like a child, when lost and fragile.
A man so strong, yet so weak.
I knew him so; I did not want to let him go.
The pain I would leave him would scar him.
The regret I would give him would burden him.
My decision would break him.

As I sunk deeper into the darkness,
I saw much sadness in his eyes.
The sight pained me much; I never saw him as such.
I wanted to reach out to him.
I wanted to let him know that I was okay.
But he would never know of my presence.

“I’ll come back when it’s all over.” I had told him.
But I would never return; it was only later that he would learn:
We would never be together again.
I never got to “meet” him,
I never got the chance to tell him how I felt,
But the memories we had together are enough for me.

For my whole life I have thought of this moment.
When it would come, how it would happen.
It is my fate, so inevitable and inescapable.
I’ve always known it would come.
I’ve always been prepared.
But I never realized how much I loved him – until I was gone.

:blackrose: Tribute to Aerith Gainsborough upon her death to Sephiroth's blade :blackrose:

This was one of the first poems I wrote. At the time, I had played Final Fantasy VII and had gotten to the part where Aerith died. I felt remorse for Cloud's as well as the rest of Avalanche's loss.

I read The Maiden [link] from the Final Fantays VII Novels, one of the greatest writing pieces I have ever seen.

"Besides an indepth guide to the game, [the compiled book Final Fantasy VII Ultimania Omega] also contained a short story... named Hoshi wo Meguru Otome, "The Maiden who Travels the Planet". This story written by Benny Matsuyama focuses on Aerith as she travels the Lifestream and is set about midway through the original FFVII game. Although not written by the original FFVII scenario writer Nojima himself, the work was under the supervision of Square-Enix. (FFVII Web Novel)

:heart:Oh, please, it is a must-read! Long live the maiden of the Ancients!

Remember how I was for me.
When Aerith died in the game (remade version so it looked sadder) I cried. I was like "NOOOOOOO NOT AGAIN" I played original one (first so worse graphics not that sad but still sad). Aerith was pure of heart and of mind apparently. :crying:

I am an artist, I am me. No one can change that and never should. Individuality is what makes us all beautiful in our own way.
When Aerith first, I was facing major shock. I was emotionally affected by the fact that she died, but it was only AFTER Cloud lowered her into the water that I became so suddenly sad. It was like.. I didn't know how to react from her death.

Glad to meet someone who's also played the game. I've never beat it - just gotten far enough to Sephiroth in the Crater and never beat him. lol Nice meeting you!
